With all wisdom and insight he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will,so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.”(Ephessians 1:7-12, NRSV).
Blessing the Prayer Room, 2016 General Conference
In addition to the new bishops, their families and the episcopal leaders assigned to new Annual Conferences, this is also a significant time of transition for the Conference Staff and Appointive Cabinets. Pray that God will give them peace in the midst of the transition and wisdom as they adjust to the new episcopal leader. Most of all, pray that God will give them all wisdom and unity of purpose–making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
