Health e-brain study offers Alzheimer's caregivers a "mobile mirror" of their own cognitive ability

"'A study focused on the impact that caring for an individual with Alzheimer's has on the caregiver's own brain and behavioral health has now moved into Phase II. During Phase I...the informal caregiver population was shown to have documented cognitive impairment compared to matched controls."
U.S. to allow caregivers of CentAm kids to request asylum

"The U.S. government announced Tuesday that it will permit Guatemalans, Hondurans, and Salvadorans living legally in the country to request asylum for their children and for people they are 'caregivers' for - older siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents - and it will also cooperate with Costa Rica to allow entry for the most urgent cases."
How (and why) some employers are stepping up support for working caregivers

Family caregivers would get more social security under Clinton plan

Caregivers time away from work reduces their future Social Security benefits, which are based on workers' top 35 earning years."
