Sunday Worship. Join us in worship this Sunday as Pastor Cleaver preaches "A Bigger Boat" from Mark 6:45-52.
Wednesday Night Live. Cool off in the Ministry Mall tonightduring Wednesday Night Live! Dinner will be served from 6 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Childcare is provided for ages 1-4, with activities for children and youth ages 5-18. Worship begins at 7 p.m. with praise and worship, followed by a powerful and relevant word from Pastor Cleaver.

Senior Fitness & Bible Study! Join us on the Paseo Campus every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for light to moderate exercise done from the comfort of a chair! A trained fitness expert will guide you through exercises that help strengthen you, and the fellowship will help motivate you. Then, stay for Senior Bible Study from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and get strengthened in the spirit! Current study: Go Fish by Andy Stanley. Feel free to bring a dish and join us in the potluck lunch following our study time.
NLDT Workshop. The next workshop is Saturday, August 13thfrom 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at St. James UMC Paseo campus. This quarter's session focuses on Spiritual Gifts. All ministry leaders are expected to attend, but the workshop is open to all. Please register online and download the Spiritual Gifts Survey. Please complete the survey and bring it with you to the workshop.
Men's Weekend 2016 - Theme: "Boys to Men in Prayer"
Friday, August 19th, 6pm - Pastor's 100 Men Fellowship Dinner. Join us at 6 p.m. at the PeachTree Buffet. Tickets are $15, and available each Sunday after worship or through any member of the United Methodist Men. Tickets are available at the Welcome Center before/after church.
Saturday, August 20th, 9am - Boys to Men Prayer Summit.There is no cost for this event, but registration is on the St. James UMC website.
Sunday, August 21st, 8am and 11am - Men's Day. Pastor Antonio Settles of St. Andrew UMC is our guest preacher. The Master's Men Choir and Majestic Men Dancers will all minister in music.
Bible Study. Join us Tuesdays at the Renaissance Campus from6 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and study from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Led by Pastor Settles, this Growth Group is interactive, dialogue is encouraged. Grab your Bible and come on out!

Encouragement Ministry. Thank you to all who continue to support this effort. Cards will be collected Sunday, August 7th. Simply sign your name to a 'thinking of you' or encouragement card. Write the name of a person on the 'At Home' listing of our prayer list on the envelope and place it in the collection box in the Narthex. National Senior Citizens Day. The Sunday, August 14thHeBrews Fellowship is being sponsored in recognition of National Senior Citizens Day. Join us in celebrating our Seniors.

RAGE. Pastor Fulton's teaching series, "There's an App for That," continues Wednesday evenings through July 27th. All youth ages 11-18 are invited to participate. Bring a friend and come early for dinner at 6 p.m. We'll have awesome praise & worship in the Ministry Mall at 7 p.m. then head down to the Youth Room.
Kidz Connect. Volunteers are still needed to serve Wednesdayevenings from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. during Wednesday Night Live. The level of commitment is only two Wednesdays a quarter for an hour of activity. Positions include an Activity Facilitator, Activity Assistant and Registrar to check children in & out. Clothing donations. Volunteers continue to sort clean, gently used or new clothing and shoes for this Saturday's Tops & Sock back to school event. Children and youth clothing for grades Pre-K- 8th will be accepted though tomorrow, June 28th. We especially need girls' clothing.
Town Hall on Race. Save the date of Tuesday, August 30th at 6:00 p.m. St. James will host our second town hall meetings this summer. This session will focus on race. Stay tuned for more details.
