"Conversations on Race"
Tomorrow, August 30th at 6:30 p.m. Adam Hamilton, Senior Pastor of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, and I are leading a conversation on race. We'll have a short presentation on the history of Kansas City as it relates to race. Pastor Hamilton and I will then engage in a conversation about race.
Following our discussion, Resurrection members and St. James members will then be invited to share their own experiences. We'll look at what role we as Christians play in tearing down walls and building bridges related to race in our city. The event will conclude with free Sheridan's custard.
Please join us for this very important conversation. As I said yesterday, 300 members of Resurrection will be in attendance! Let's match that number.
