The Deaf Devo from The Deaf Missions in Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States "Worship" Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:31-33 for Friday, 2 September 2016
1 Corinthians 10:31 Well, whatever you do, whether it’s eating or drinking or anything else, do it all so as to bring glory to God. 32 Do not be an obstacle to anyone — not to Jews, not to Gentiles, and not to God’s Messianic Community. 33 Just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not looking out for my own interests but for those of the many, so that they may be saved;

Worship is a very important part of our relationship with God. When we worship God, we show that we love and praise Him.
From the beginning of the world until today, people have worshiped God in many different ways. Abraham worshiped God by building an altar and sacrificing animals. The Israelites worshiped God at the Holy Tent and then later in the Temple in Jerusalem. The early Christians met together in their homes to study God's teachings and eat together.
Today we worship God, too. We worship by praying, studying the Bible and gathering with other believers to sing, fellowship and share the Lord's Supper. But our Bible verses today remind us that everything in our lives can show our worship and praise of God.
Remember to worship and praise God today in everything you do![MS]
"So if you eat, or if you drink, or if you do anything, do it for the glory of God. Never do anything that might make other people do wrong."[1 Corinthians 10:31-32a]
PRAYER: God, You are so amazing! I will worship You and love You all day long. In Jesus' name. Amen.
