Ephesians 6:10 Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! 11 Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. 12 For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13 So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. 14 Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist,[Ephesians 6:14 Isaiah 11:5] put on righteousness for a breastplate,[Ephesians 6:14 Isaiah 59:17] 15 and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom.[Ephesians 6:15 Isaiah 52:7] 16 Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. 17 And take the helmet of deliverance;[Ephesians 6:17 Isaiah 59:17] along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God; 18 as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.
19 And pray for me, too, that whenever I open my mouth, the words will be given to me to be bold in making known the secret of the Good News, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may speak boldly, the way I should.

In my seventh grade social studies class, my teacher asked a question about Moses. I knew the answer because I had grown up going to church and learning the stories about Moses again and again. When I gave my answer, the teacher said I was wrong.
I went home that night and studied the Bible. I learned that I had given the right answer. The next day at school, I told my teacher what I had studied. He apologized to me and told the class that my answer had been correct.
I was scared to do that because my school was not a Christian school. Often Christian students were teased and mocked. But I knew I had to stand up for the truth.
Our Bible verses today show us how we can be ready to stand up for the truth. We need to have God's armor - the belt of truth, the chest protection of right living, the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. Ask God to help you stand strong for Him![AB]
"Wear the full armor of God. Wear God's armor so that you
can fight against the devil's clever tricks."[Ephesians 6:11]

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, please be with me today and help me to be strong. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 119:ו (Vav)
41 May your grace come to me, Adonai,
your salvation, as you promised;
42 then I will have an answer for those who taunt me;
for I trust in your word.
43 Don’t take away completely my power to speak the truth;
for I put my hope in your rulings;
44 and I will keep your Torah always,
forever and ever.
45 I will go wherever I like,
for I have sought your precepts.
46 I will speak of your instructions even to kings
without being ashamed.
47 I will delight myself in your mitzvot,
which I have loved.
48 I will lift my hands to your mitzvot, which I love;
and I will meditate on your laws.

One summer my oldest son was at military boot camp. My younger son was ready to start high school.
On a Saturday that summer, I looked out the window and saw my younger son walk very slowly to the house. He had been bike riding and had an accident. I drove him to the emergency room, and we found out that he had three breaks in his elbow. Then a couple of days later, my older son called to tell me that he was in the military hospital. He had fainted and his blood pressure was very low.
I prayed for my sons like the writer of our verses prayed - "Lord, show me your faithful love" (verse 41). And God did take care of them. A military chaplain helped my older son through his hospital stay. And some friends helped entertain my younger son while his arm was healing.
Turn to God and He will show you His faithful love![BH]
"Give thanks to the Lord
because he is good.
His faithful love will last forever."[1 Chronicles 16:34]

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for always showing me and my family Your faithful love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
