PRAISES:
Van Accident
We are grateful that a creative access missionary is fine after a single-vehicle accident where his van flipped. While the van was significantly damaged, the missionary is ok. Thank you, Lord! Pray with the missionary and his family for God to supply the resources to purchase a replacement vehicle.
Exciting Results
Missionaries Paul and Sharon Martin write, “We give praise for God's empowering grace to the Nazarenes in Sierra Leone who have been pressing ministries forward, with exciting results, even during these challenging times of Ebola ravaging the country.” The Martins are part of our August Missionary Prayer Focus and you can read below of ways to pray for their work.
Erin Meier
Thank you for praying for missionary doctor Erin Meier who underwent shoulder surgery on July 24. Her recovery is going well and she has begun physical therapy. If all continues to progress, Erin should be able to return to Papua New Guinea in early September. Please continue praying for Erin’s complete recovery.

GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS
PML Field Focus – South East Asia
This week we continue to look at the work of God on the South East Asia Field (SE Asia). The SE Asia Field is the comprised of Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Today we will focus learning about and praying for Cambodia.
Known as the Kingdom of Wonder, Cambodia is planted firmly in the tropics, located between Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and a 443-kilometer coastline along the Gulf of Thailand (think beaches). The country is small, about the size of Portugal and the weather is always warm with monsoons occurring from May–November. Most Cambodians adhere to Buddhism or other religious groups like Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. The Church of the Nazarene entered Cambodia in 1992. Click here for more information about Cambodia and the church’s work there in PML’s printable version.
Ways to Rejoice and Pray for the Work in Cambodia:
Praise for the 22 new villages in Cambodia entered within the last year where the gospel has been shared.
Praise for 5-6 Khmer ladies from the provinces who within the past year have been safely housed in Phnom Penh where they have already become leaders in the local church and effective witnesses in their community. Pray for their continued training and safety.
Pray for the servant-leaders God is raising up in Cambodia.
August Prayer Focus
Please pray for these requests from missionaries who are part of the August Prayer Focus:
Scott and Emily Armstrong, serving in Dominican Republic
Please pray for our kids, Elijah and Sydney, who begin school on August 27. Pray that adaptation to the new school year, teachers, and friends goes well.
Please pray for our health. Over the past few months we both have gotten very sick at different times.
We are seeking the Lord’s will on how best to be involved in local church ministry in the Dominican Republic.
Click here to read more requests from the Armstrongs.
Stephane and Sandra Tibi, serving in South Africa
Pray for the Africa Regional Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, that begins onAugust 14. The Africa Central Field (the field we serve) and Africa East Field will have more than 600 people attending. Our prayer is that the Lord will use this time to help many develop a greater intimacy with Him; practical holiness that is so important; and to receive tools that will be useful to bring others to a loving and saving relationship with Him.
Friday and Mary Ganda, serving in Burundi
Pray for our health, protection, and security as we serve.
Pray for peace in Burundi.
Pray for our family.
Paul and Sharon Martin, serving in Ghana
Two Nazarene administrators were injured and one teacher killed in recent car accidents in Benin. The deceased teacher, Serge Sambieni, was on staff at Nazarene Theological Institute in West Africa. The Church of the Nazarene's National Education Coordinator, Felix Sambieni, was also in the car and was injured. In a separate accident, the Assistant Academic Dean for the francophone countries of West Africa, Samuel Sogbegnon, was injured. Please pray for the injured leaders and for the grieving family of the deceased and for theological education in Benin.
Upcoming ordinations in Ghana, West Africa, in a couple months - the first there in several years!
Praises for God's empowering grace to the Nazarenes in Sierra Leone who have been pressing ministries forward, with exciting results, even during these challenging times of Ebola ravaging the country.

PRAY FOR:
PML Field Focus – South East Asia
This week we continue look into the work God is doing in the South East Asia Field (SE Asia) and share ways to rejoice and pray. The SE Asia Field is the countries of Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand. The Church of the Nazarene officially began work on this field in the country Myanmar (formerly Burma) in 1984 and today we will focus learning about and praying for Cambodia.
Known as the Kingdom of Wonder, Cambodia is planted firmly in the tropics, located between Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and a 443-kilometer coastline along the Gulf of Thailand (think beaches). The weather is always warm with monsoons occurring from May–November. The country is about twice the size of Portugal, or, for another perspective, slightly smaller than the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Most Cambodians adhere to Buddhism or other religious groups like Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. The Church of the Nazarene entered Cambodia in 1992.
Majority language: Khmer
Population: 15 million
Capital City: Phnom Penh
Large Cities: Battambang, Siem Reap
Provinces: 24 provinces
Nazarene Districts: 1
Nazarene Churches: 33 churches
Nazarene Members: 1100+ members
Ways to Rejoice and Pray for the Work in Cambodia:
· Praise for the 22 new villages in Cambodia entered within the last year where the gospel has been shared.
·Praise for 5-6 Khmer ladies from the provinces who within the past year have been safely housed in Phnom Penh where they have already become leaders in the local church and effective witnesses in their community. Pray for their continued training and safety.

·Please pray for our kids, Elijah and Sydney, who begin school on August 27. Pray that adaptation to the new school year, teachers, and friends goes well.
·Please pray for our health. Over the past few months we both have gotten very sick at different times. We have followed up with doctors and nothing serious is wrong, but we know that we must practice better self-care and Sabbath.
·We are seeking the Lord’s will on how best to be involved in local church ministry in the Dominican Republic. We have been involved in a church plant for over a year that has not grown, and we feel the need to provide more leadership, but travel schedules and regional ministry prevent us from always being present the way that a new church plant needs.
·Continue praying for strength of our marriage and family. We value people praying that God would continue to strengthen our relationships and communication.
·Please pray for Genesis. God has been opening our minds and hearts to see huge things that can take place in the coming months and years. Pray that God gives us wisdom to move forward in His timing as well as humility of hearts and listening ears as we seek to serve alongside great leaders.
