"Interview with Reform Judaism Magazine" Rabbi Moffic from Congregation Soleil in Highland Park, Illnois, United States "The Book is Here" for Friday, 12 August 2016

"Interview with Reform Judaism Magazine" Rabbi Moffic from Congregation Soleil in Highland Park, Illnois, United States "The Book is Here" for Friday, 12 August 2016"What a person actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for a worthy goal. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him." —Victor Frankl, Victor Frankl was a Holocaust survivor who taught us how to find meaning life by discovering what we are uniquely called to do. Each of us has a unique purpose. It could be writing, cooking, teaching, counseling, listening.
For me, it combines teaching and building bridges. That comes out out in an interview with ReformJudaism.org, the main website for the Reform Jewish movement. Reform Judaism is the movement to which the synagogue I serve belongs, and we are guided by its central principles.
The interview, shared with tens of thousands of people through their daily email, clarified the why behind some of my writing. I think you'll enjoy it. With warmest wishes for a wonderful weekend, Evan
P.S.: A new review of the book appeared describing it as "action-packed" with "excitement on every page." That's not the way I imagined readers would describe it, but I'll take it!
