Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States - Lutheran Seminary God Pause for Saturday, 14 June 2014 "All Creatures, Worship God Most High!" ELW 835
There are lots of "Alleluias" in this familiar hymn for today. In this first week of the season of Pentecost, surrounded by the stories of creation in Genesis and the majesty of God described by the psalmist in Psalm 8, there are lots of things we might say as we join in with "ev'ry voice in earth and sky." But certainly we could do worse than to join in the echoing "Alleluias" that fairly strain to burst in and interrupt almost every line of our song. We just get going, and then another "Alleluia" response rises up and almost explodes forth. Jesus is Risen! Alleluia! The Holy Spirit has come! Alleluia! The Creator is still creating! Alleluia!
Creator God, You are indeed worthy of our praise, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May "Alleluias" ever be the beginning and the ending of our song. Amen.

ALL CREATURES, WORSHIP GOD MOST HIGH
All creatures, worship God most high! Sound every voice in earth and sky: Alleluia!
Sing, brother sun, in splendor bright; sing, sister moon and stars of night. Alleluia.
Sing, brother wind; with clouds and rain. You grow the gifts of fruit and grain. Alleluia!
Dear sister water, useful, clear. Make music for your God to hear. Alleluia!
Come, sister death, your song release when you enfold our breath in peace: Alleluia!
Since Christ our light has pierced your gloom, fair is the night that leads us home.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
