San Diego Downtown Fellowship of Churches & Ministries "'Seeking the spiritual and social renewal of downtown San Diego through Church and Community partnership' 'Street Outreach - 25 Cities 100 Day Campaign'" for Monday, 16 June 2014
Dear Downtown Fellowship friends,
The 25 Cities 100 Day Campaign needs volunteers to help end veteran and chronic homelessness in San Diego. Specifically, volunteers are needed to conduct brief assessments of our neighbors on the street during the period June 23-26. The goal is to assess all who are homeless downtown in the coming few weeks. From these assessments a process will continue to help people find appropriate housing.

Training for this assessment is mandatory and will be held on June 20. See the link for times and place.
The 25 Cities 100 Day Campaign is a great opportunity for all of us to participate in the work of ending homelessness in our city. Our current mission:
"By September 17, 2014, we, the San Diego Community Design Team, will design and test a system that assesses all downtown homeless and effectively matches, houses, and retains 150 veterans and 100 chronic homeless individuals in the first 100 days".
Monica Ball and I are both on the community design team. We need your help. Please consider joining us on this great service opportunity. Please share this opportunity with your network. We need about 32 volunteers per day. Shifts are 7 AM to 12 noon.
