#Health4All for Tuesday, 31 March 2015 "REMINDER: Join Us TODAY at NOON For a Webinar on Health Insurance and Demographics of California Immigrants Eligible for Deferred Action"
Remember to join us TODAY at 12 pm for "Health Insurance and Demographics of California Immigrants Eligible for Deferred Action", a webinar hosted in partnership with the UCLA Health Policy Center and UC Berkeley Labor Center to stay informed of some of the latest research and developments related to the health status of undocumented Californians. Please join this live-streaming webinar here (no RSVP is required).
More than one million undocumented immigrants in California are estimated to be eligible for relief from deportation and work authorization as a result of recent executive actions. Health Insurance and Demographics of California Immigrants Eligible for Deferred Action, a report released by the UC Berkeley Labor Center and UCLA Health Policy Center, estimates that up to 500,000 California immigrants could gain eligibility for Medi-Cal. Join The California Endowment and Nadereh Pourat, the UCLA Health Policy Center's director of research, as we discuss the findings of their report. Pourat will examine demographic estimates for undocumented California immigrants and those eligible for DACA and DAPA, including income, work status, age distribution, and education levels access to health insurance as well as the impact on Medi-Cal.
