Lord of ever-new beginning, it is all too easy for us to slip comfortably into the familiar passions and priorities of the world, forgetting that you have brought us out of the world so we could be in it as bearers of your light. Remembering your love, I join my voice with Joshua’s and affirm once more that today “my family and I will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
Blessing: May the Lord whose love gave us hope when we were hopelessly submerged in the cares of the world clothe us with the same love for the life of the world. Amen.
This week, five annual conferences will be meeting. These are the final sessions before jurisdictional conferences gather in July.
