The Great Plains Conference of The United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas, United States "In Memoriam - Rev. Susan Montgomery" for Tuesday, 31 May 2016The Rev. Susan A. Montgomery, 69, a retired clergy member of the Great Plains United Methodist Conference born Nov. 15, 1946, passed away on May 27, 2016.
She married Larry Montgomery and they raised two sons. Larry and Susan divorced in 1983.
Susan served many United Methodist churches in Kansas, Sedan-Peru-Elgin, Frankfort, LaCygne-New Lancaster, St. Marys-Emmett-Belvue, retired in 2012 then served Axtell-Beattie.
Survivors include two sons, Brien (Teresa) Montgomery and Stacy T. (Stacy L.) Montgomery.
The service will be Monday, June 6, 2016 at the St. Marys United Methodist Church, 205 N 7th St., St. Marys, Kansas at 10 a.m. Inurnment graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at the Valley Brook Cemetery south of Overbrook, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Health Ministry or the Charity of the donor’s choice and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
