Marjorie L. Bruning, 97, widow of the Great Plains United Methodist Conference was born June 7, 1919 in Homer, Nebraska, passed away June 14, 2016. Marjorie married Rev. Keith E. Bruning on Aug. 14, 1971.
Marjorie and Keith served Harrison, Wisner-Beemer, Greeley-Wolbach, Columbus and Hemingford in Nebraska.
Survivors include her sons; Leslie (Madalyn) Bruning, Peter Bruning, daughters; Maelyn (Warren) Toelle, Keitha (Dean) Thomson, Myra (Buck) Nicolaus. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Keith Bruning Apr. 12, 2010.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, 1023 1st Ave., in Nebraska City, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Charles Kathurima Murithi officiating.
Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in the Homer Cemetery near Homer, Nebraska.
Visitations will be 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Marshall Funeral Chapel, 1109 First Corso, in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
