"Psalm 23 (2)" Deaf Devo - Deaf Missions in Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States - Bible Reading: Psalm 23:2
Psalm 23:2 He has me lie down in grassy pastures,he leads me by quiet water,
-------
Our Bible verse today says, "He gives me green pastures to lie in. He leads me by calm pools of water." A good shepherd leads his sheep to places where there is rich, green grass and cool, clean water. Then the sheep have all they need to eat and drink.
Sometimes a sheep will run away from the flock and become lost. This sheep could hurt himself or be attacked by wild animals. But if sheep are with their shepherd, they will know that their master is close. They will be calm and satisfied. When the sheep are calm and satisfied, they eat well and grow strong.
God is our Shepherd. He wants us to know that He is always with us. God wants us to read His Word and become strong Christians. When we know God is with us, we can feel calm and satisfied.
Maybe you are worried today. Or maybe you are facing problems. Remember God is with you. He wants you to stay close to Him and depend on Him for everything you need.
"The Lord...will never leave his followers without help. He will always protect them." [Psalm 37:28a]
PRAYER: Father, I know that You will be with me today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
