At just one glance, nurses could tell Elizabeth Sieh's was no ordinary pregnancy. Her belly was enormous. And soon, ultrasounds showed she was 8 months pregnant with triplets—a high risk pregnancy anywhere, let alone southern Liberia.
But last winter, Elizabeth found the care she needed at the PIH-supported J.J. Dossen Hospital. And today, in honor of Mother's Day, we're thrilled to share this photo of triplets Ben, George, and Doboh—and invite you read her amazing story!

Until recently, specialized care for high-risk pregnancies was far harder to come by in Harper, Liberia. And not long ago, Elizabeth could have faced pregnancy and childbirth frightened and alone.
Instead, thanks to your support of PIH, a team of doctors and surgeons awaited her at J.J. Dossen, delivering her triplets via C-section and helping her tiny babies take their very first breaths.
