Wait, what is it?
It’s ok to ask. It’s our first year doing this! We want to gather together our volunteers and leaders from all over the EastLake Church Network to have some fun and equip everyone with extra training, time to connect, and build relationships that will help us be better leaders and people. Just like ComicCon gathers together all of the Marvel nerds and CosPlay peeps in one weekend, EastLakeCon is bringing together all of our Network people in one weekend.
Do I have to dress up like a character from a Sci-Fi show?
No, but we would love to laugh at you. So...yes!
So who can attend?
Anyone! Everyone! EastLakeCon is open to anyone who is currently serving at any of our church locations or anyone who wants to jump in and serve. Childcare is not provided, however, and at this time we don’t have activities available for kids or students.
Like, what will we do the whole time?
Other than having fun and learning how to be more awesome, we will divide our time between large group meetings, prayer, and small group breakout times where you can pick sessions that match the areas where you serve or want to serve. We will also have some time just to hang out together, and because it’s EastLake, something stupid and funny will most likely happen at some point.
I don’t live in Chula Vista. Where will I stay?
Well, we are a few months short of finishing the *EastLake Church Resort and Spa so instead we are highlighting this local hotel:
