Gateway Church of the Nazarene
From The Pastor for Friday, 25 May 2018 Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Murrieta, California, United States One week from Friday, I will be traveling with our delegation to the 2018 Southern California District Assembly. At assembly this year, we will be giving our annual church report on all that God has done at Gateway Nazarene. In our report this year are numbers for new members, conversions, attendance, baptisms, etc. Before our report is given, I wanted to highlight them for you….
God has accomplished the following at Gateway Nazarene since our last report was given:
- Baptisms – 50 people were baptized
- New Members – Over 80 new members (including adults and children)
- Conversions – Over 100 new commitments to Christ or recommitments to Christ (these are the ones that we know prayed this prayer)
- Baby Dedications – 12 baby dedications
- Attendance – Well over 500 (with all our services included) per week
While this is good news, we also need your help! As we are now in our new church year, we need to continue to operate at 100% to keep reaching people for Christ. In April (the first month of the church fiscal year), we got off to a great start with our finances. I praise God for this! However in May so far, it has been a tough month of general church giving. In part this is due to a lot of giving going towards our work in Haiti during our Faith Promise dinner and also having the Grigory’s missionary dinner. While our church stepped up majorly in helping both of these, our general church giving has not been good for May. Here is where the help is needed. This weekend is our last week of giving for the month of May. We want to finish the month strong! Would you consider helping us this weekend at our services when the offering is taken. We would love to see a spike in general giving this weekend to help us close the month strong. I would never ask this if my wife and I would not do the same. We have agreed to give above and beyond this month to help us end the month well! Would you consider doing the same?
God bless you today!
Pastor Kevin
