"Reached and Exceeded!"
With the Lord's blessing and your faithful generosity, First Church will finish the fiscal year "in the black" for the sixth year in a row! Entering the month of June [the last month of the fiscal calendar], we needed to raise approximately $100,000 and keep expenses at approximately $75,000 in order to accomplish this goal. Entering the last Sunday of the month [June 29], we had received in "tithe and offerings" [the operating account] a little over $85,000.
I am pleased to share with you that in the mail during the week and in the offering plate on Sunday morning, June 29th, we received over $38,000 in tithe and offering! This will push the income for the month in the operating account to over $120,000!
We praise the Lord and give thanks for his blessings! We rejoice together in how God has abundantly supplied for the work of his Church through the generous stewardship of his people!
