Caregiving Listserve - National Alliance for Caregiving "For Caregivers: Participate in a Dementia Study" for Monday, 8 September 2014
[Caregiving Listserve] from the National Alliance for Caregiving
Good morning, caregiving advocates:

We've received a request for survey participants from two high school students studying caregivers of persons with dementia. Please see below for more information.

Dear National Alliance for Caregiving,

Our names are Mark D'Alesio and Rob Kramer, and we're in the Science Research program at our high school in Yorktown Heights, New York. We're emailing you because we are currently conducting a survey for those who care for loved ones with dementia.

We understand that devoting your life to caring for another individual is an extremely demanding task. With that in mind, the purpose of our research is to discover exactly what the effects of caring are on the caregivers themselves as well as to bring to light the most popular and effective methods used today to combat these symptoms.

In order to accumulate results, we need participants to complete our survey. We would be extremely grateful if you could forward this email and/or the link below to anyone that fits the demographic of a caregiver for a family member with dementia (any form/progression). The caregiver is the one who completes the survey, not the individual with dementia, and it is imperative that the caregiver is related to the individual receiving his/her care since we are not including hired caregivers for this study. Again, we need as many participants as possible in order to get results and learn as well as teach what exactly a caregiver goes through.

The link to our survey: surveymonkey.com/s/copingwithcaregiving
It should only take roughly 20 minutes to complete this survey!

If you have any questions about the Science Research program, feel free to contact our teacher, Mr. Michael Blueglass, at mblueglass@yorktown.org or visit the program's website at yhsresearch.org
