| Ebola – Five Ways to Pray |
| | The following are five basic ways our leaders on the Africa Region encourage us to pray for the people affected by the Ebola crisis:
- Fear: Pray for the Lord to bind the spirit of fear that is seizing the hearts of people in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea Conakry and to release His peace.
- Rejection: Pray for the people who are rejected because of Ebola, that the Lord may give a heart of compassion.
- Wisdom: Pray that the Lord may grant wisdom to the government authorities in their decisions so as to contain Ebola.
- Hope: Pray for the Lord to give constant hope to His people (His Church) in this time of despair so that they have boldness to continue to intercede for their nation and encourage the population.
- God’s Glory: Pray for the solution and that the stopping of Ebola comes from God and no one else so that He will get all the glory.

| BEREAVEMENT |
| Families of Saipan Children |
| | Two families in Saipan lost their children last week when a large wave swept several people into the ocean during a beach outing. Two people died, one of whom was Hadassah, a six-year-old girl who was a member of missionary Helen Ann Bucher's kindergarten class. As classes resumed this week, Helen Ann and her students talked about the fact their classmate would not be coming back. Some of them drew pictures to express their feelings. "The absolute best picture was drawn by one of the boys," says Helen Ann. "it was stick figures standing side-by-side on top of the water while another, smaller stick figure was under the water. When I asked the boy to tell me about it he said, ‘This is God, this is Jesus, and this is Hadassah. They are right there with her." Please pray for the families who lost their loved ones in the accident. Pray for Helen Ann and her husband, Dave, as they minister to those who are grieving. The Buchers serve as bi-vocational church planters in Saipan. |
