Last week three people shared with me a recent Wall Street Journal article written by Eric Metaxas entitled:  "Science Increasingly Makes the Case for God."  It is wonderfully convincing as he describes the improbability of there being any planet in the universe supporting life, and further, the improbability for the universe to exist at all!  Surely the idea that an "intelligence created these perfect conditions requires far less faith than believing that a life-sustaining Earth just happened to beat the inconceivable odds to come into being."
The Spirit moving in someone's heart and mind to begin to be open to God and to take God absolutely serious, serious enough to turn one's life over to Him - that's an act of prevenient grace, and I'm praying that this article might be used by God to draw persons to Himself.
Here are the last two lines of Charles Wesley's hymn I referenced yesterday:
     My message as from God receive; ye all may come to Christ and live.
     O let his love your hearts constrain, nor suffer him to die in vain.
     This is the time, no more delay!  This is the Lord's accepted day.
     Come thou, this moment, at his call, and live for him who died for all.
