"The Glass of Water, Part 2"
Yesterday, I told you the story of holding the glass of water and encouraged you to set it down - into the hands of God.
On Sunday, after telling that same story, I invited people to come to the altar to pray, and as I joined one Mother for prayer, and she shared with me the multiple cups of water she was holding, all very, very dear to her, I sensed in my spirit that there was no way she could let go of those things; she couldn't set them down, so I told her that, and then I prayed this for her:
Dear God, ________ can't set these down right now, they're all too dear to her, so, instead of praying that she will set them down, I'm praying that you will hold her hands up."
Sometimes God helps us set things down, and sometimes God helps hold our hands up. Which is God doing for you just now?
