Would you like to have dinner with Brian Diggs of UMCOR West?
Our Mission and Outreach Committee is hosting this dinner so that everyone can have a chance to get to know him and the work of UMCOR West. UMCOR is the United Methodist Committee on Relief. UMCOR West is a depot in Utah where many kinds of helping supplies are assembled and stocked for delivery when emergencies occur.

Along with our dinner together, our sermons this weekend will include interviews with Brian Diggs, representing a way we can meet Jesus by serving people in Christ’s name at there greatest point of need.
Here is a brief bio:
Rev. Brian Diggs
Rev. Brian Diggs is the director of UMCOR West Office and Depot in Salt Lake City. Brian is responsible for the overall operations of UMCOR West including the scheduling of volunteers, general office/administration responsibilities, and securing the materials needed for volunteer work teams.
Brian says of his work, “Working with United Methodists from across the country has deepened my understanding of the mission of the Church. The commitment our volunteers have has had a lasting effect on why I continue to enjoy my work at UMCOR West. Our disaster response kits are sent all over the world but I suspect the relief begins right here in Salt lake City when our volunteer teams experience the healing presence of the Holy Spirit with each kit they build.”
Rev. Diggs has over 20 years of experience in leading United Methodist congregations in North Carolina, Virginia and Utah into deeper action around mission. He has been the director at UMCOR West Office and Depot since it opened in 2009. Rev. Diggs in an ordained clergy person in the Rocky Mountain Conference and received his M. Div. from the Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina.
