Did you see Princess's email about protecting her home?
She's traveling all the way from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to Washington, DC this month, and I'm looking forward to giving her a warm welcome.
It's very important that faith voices are well represented among the petition signatures she delivers, will you add your name?
I was enthusiastic about this campaign from the beginning, but recently, its importance took on a new meaning. I attended the National Congress of American Indians as an observer, and I met and had the honor of talking with with leadership from various tribes. Almost all of the tribal leaders I met were very surprised to hear that faith groups were following the lead of a tribe's efforts to protect their homeland. The tribal leaders' surprise that people of faith care, and are taking action, spoke volumes to me about the incredible significance of this campaign.
Please help us be good allies to the Gwich'in community by adding your name to the petition.
Thanks for all the ways you do justice for God's planet and God's people,

Stand With Native Alaskans: Protect the Arctic Refuge.
My ancestral home is vulnerable to traumatic oil drilling. Join me to ask Congress to protect the Arctic Refuge before I deliver on Capitol Hill in April.

I've been fighting for 15 years to protect our home from oil drilling and climate change.
Finally, this year, Congress can vote on legislation that would protect my ancestral home - the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska - for generations to come.
That's why I started a petition that I will deliver on Capitol Hill in April.
Alaska Natives including my tribe, the Gwich'in, rely on the Refuge to survive every day, and have since time immemorial.
But our home is in danger - if we don't find further protections, we are open to traumatic oil exploration and drilling.
Sign my petition today calling on Congress to protect my home, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
We thought Congress would vote on the bill last year because it's the right thing to do. But it's clear they need to hear from their constituents - you and I - that protecting our planet for future generations is a priority.
With the power of our stories and our movement, a groundswell is growing to call for the protection of the Refuge.
Together, we can protect America's Arctic Refuge - our home - once and for all.
Grace and Peace,
Princess Daazhraii Johnson
