"A New Command"
Bible Reading: John 13:34-35John 13:34 “I am giving you a new command: that you keep on loving each other. In the same way that I have loved you, you are also to keep on loving each other. 35 Everyone will know that you are my talmidim by the fact that you have love for each other.”
In our Bible Reading, Jesus gave His followers a new command. Jesus told them that they should love each other the same way that He loved them. This can be applied to us today. We should love other Christians. 1 John 3:23 says, "This is what God commands: that we believe in his Son Jesus Christ, and that we love each other as he commanded."
Why is it important for Christians to love each other? First, God commands Christians to love one another. Second, Jesus said in verse 35, "All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other." If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, other people will see this and know that we follow Jesus.
How can we show our love to other Christians? 1 John 3:18b tells us that we "should show our love by the things we do." We can share each other's burdens, encourage each other and forgive each other.

PRAYER: Dear God, show me how I can love other Christians. In Jesus' name. Amen.
