Laura Belle Haines, 80, surviving spouse of a clergy member of the Great Plains United Methodist Conference, born May 13, 1935, passed away May 2, 2016 in Winfield, Kansas.
She was married to John Williams, Jr. in 1955, they later divorced. Laura later married the Rev. Robert A. Haines on Sept. 16, 1972. She was preceded in death by Robert and a stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Capley.
Survivors include her children Daniel (Mary) Williams, John (Tammy) Williams; Laurinda (Ty) Raney, Janette (Clay) Quigley, stepchildren; Doris Shoemaker and Robert Haines.
A service was held May 9, 2016 at First UMC in Winfield, Kansas. Memorials are to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or the American Cancer Foundation. Contributions may be left in the care of Shelley Family Funeral Home, 803 Loomis St., Winfield, KS 67156.
