"Bernice M. (Hasenpflug) Boilesen, 92, the widow of a Great Plains United Methodist Conference clergy passed away Aug. 15, 2016. Born July 1, 1924 in Brownhelm, OH to Arthur A. and Marian A. (Brandau) Hasenpflug. Bernice worked as a secretary for the Agriculture Conservation Service (1943-1947), United Methodist Church (1947-1949) and as the curator for the Nebraska Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church Archives Department (1984-1992). She was married on May 27, 1949 in Brownhelm, OH to the Rev. Lester Andrew Boilesen. They served Elba, Shelton-Bethel, Monroe-Okay, Broken Bow, Murdock-Ebenezer-Emmanuel, Murdock-Alvo, Hebron, York East Ave-Benedict churches in Nebraska.
He preceded her in death on March 23, 1994. Bernice was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Family members include her son, Eugene (Jane) Boilesen, Lincoln; daughter, Susan Boilesen, Omaha.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 8320 South St. with Pastor Joseph Rafique officiating. Burial in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion, OH on Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday with family present from 3-5 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 'O' St., Lincoln, Nebraska.
