Resurrection West,
I have been in Lincoln, Nebraska at the annual conference of the Great Plains United Methodist Church this week with pastors and lay leaders from each of our four campuses. It's been a great time of connection and conducting the business of our Church with over 1800 in attendance. Reports from our various missions and ministries remind me of missions and ministries at Resurrection West like our partner school ministry with Ridgeview Elementary. There are community dinners we are offering through June and July at Ridgeview each Thursday evening. If you would like to serve one Thursday evening, email Jennifer Cutler at cutlerj@olatheschools.org. This is just one of many great opportunities to serve and connect to our community. We also have our Faithwork tomorrow beginning at 9am in the Sanctuary. Come and join us for family-friendly service projects. Anyone can come to serve and no mission experience is required to serve through Faithwork! The Honduras mission team, led by Pastor Chris, leaves tomorrow also to serve and share the light of Christ. Join me in prayer for the team as God moves through the team to help to transform communities in Ciudad Espana!
We continue the W*RK series this Sunday with a look at The Interview. How do your gifts and talents connect with your work, your career, your passions? We will look closely at a notable Old Testament story and what this story can teach us about discovering how to unite our gifts with our work! We also have some great resources in our bookstore kiosk to further our growth as disciples at work.
Vacation Bible Camp begins on Monday! All week children will be growing in their faith through this wonderful time of song, games, crafts, recreation, drama, and Bible lessons. Thank you to the many volunteers who are pouring into this year's VBC. The week closes out with our Family Fun Night for all on Friday evening. All kids and families (not just VBC attendees) are invited to the Family Fun Night to celebrate a successful, faith-filled week! We begin at 6pm with bounce houses, water inflatables (bring your swimsuits and towels), games, food trucks and more! There is no day or evening VBC session on Friday – just Family Fun Night. Wednesday, June 25 - Kansas City Royals Game. Meet at the church @ 5:30 pm (bus transportation provided). Pick up at the church @ 10:15 pm. Cost $20

Willow Creek Leadership Summit will inspire and equip your inner leader. This exciting leadership-training event will be videocast in the Leawood Sanctuary Aug. 14-15.
