Sunday's session:
Making sense of Pastor Adam's
B-I-B-L-E We're into week 3 of a 4-week series about the Bible.
This is the third week we'll be talking about Pastor Adam's take on the Bible.
I had actually planned on doing something else, but I think it would help us to take a look at how we would understand some of the more practical, life-related Bible teachings if we bought into Adam's take on the Bible.
I'm still working on which passages to talk about. I have too many at the moment. I fear that with this chatty group, we might not get past the first one.
In the meantime, feel free to think about beliefs Christians have had that they based on passages in the Bible that, according to Adam's take on the Bible, might not have been intended for us...and might not have been good advice to begin with.
Apostle Paul, we're thinking about you.

Workday at Renay's place:
bring your own shovel Dave Rock and I are inviting you to a landscaping party at the home of fellow class member Renay Kessler.
We're going to put in some pavement blocks and stuff that will help Renay avoid having to spend so much quality time with her mower. For as it is written:
"Thou shalt not mow. On the days of the week I have given thee to labor, thou shalt do thy best and then go home to smell flowers."
Renay said, "It is good."
Bring the stuff you need to move dirt and gravel: shovels, rakes, picks. Wear sunscreen. And if possible, wear a full-brim hat more geeky than mine; this will help my self-esteem.
Those who are willing and able to come, make a note. We're starting in the cool of the day, at 8:30 a.m.
   Location, off Nall and 99th:
   5504 W. 99th Street
   Overland Park, KS
If you get lost, call Renay: 913.908.8065. If you need to contact her by email, here you go: renaykessler@yahoo.com.
Enjoy what's left of Friday the 13th. It has been my lucky day since October 13, 1978. That's the day I met Linda, at a church "Bad Luck Turnabout" party.
Worked for me.
My girlfriend prior to Linda has since given birth to a dozen kids. That would have been a good thing 3,000 years ago.
