When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me. I led them with cords of human kindness (hesed), with ties of love. (Hosea 11:1, 4).
Oh, the patience of God! Like the patience of a loving parent. Such amazing love that is undeterred by human pride. The apostle John writes of this in his first letter (I John 4:10 & 19): This is love: not that we loved God, but that God loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. We love because God first loved us.
I know of nothing greater than the power of God's love - to transform us, to empower us, to motivate us to love God and love others. Do you?
Pray about taking Disciple 1, 2, 3, 4 or Christian Believer this Fall. 34 weeks. Excellent. Sign ups late August.
