Patricia Jean (Murray) Osborn, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at Newton Presbyterian Manor. She was born March 5, 1933 in Liberal, KS, to Dr. Alvin W. and Wilma Murray.
She and Rev. Chester L. Osborn were united in marriage on July 26, 1953. She graduated from Southwestern College in 1955. Together they were a parsonage family in Parsippany, NJ, Winfield, Oxford, Newton, Salina, Derby, Wichita, Hutchinson, Kansas and retired back to Newton, KS. While in Hutchinson she was the Regional Operations Manager for the Hutchinson Region of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. The delight of her life was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Chester Osborn; their children, Phillip (Trissie) Osborn, Susan Osborn and Douglas (Nicole) Osborn.
A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, 1200 Boyd Ave., Newton, Kansas with Pastors Vern Bowers and Phil Fischer presiding.Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church Foundation in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114.

Dorothy “Dottie” Forinash Knetsch, 69, a retired clergy member of the Great Plains United Methodist Conference passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 in Lawrence, Kansas. Dorothy (Lillian) Forinash was born in Kansas City, KS on Feb. 28, 1947. She married Piet Knetsch on September 10, 1967 in Wichita, Kansas.
Pursuing her call to ministry, she earned her Master of Divinity degree from St. Paul School of Theology in 1982. On a Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA (1987-92), she completed all but the dissertation toward a doctorate in Theology. Ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1984, Dottie served Kansas United Methodist churches in Hope, Cassoday, Burns, Mentor, El Dorado, Oxford, Eudora, Pittsburg, and Tecumseh. In recent years, Dottie was an active participant at Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband Piet Knetsch, daughter Shivaun Hickman and two grand daughters.
A service of Celebration will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Central United Methodist Church, 1501 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, Kansas.
