Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs!
I’m sitting on the deck this morning enjoying this beautiful cooler weather. It will be perfect for the work day we have planned tomorrow morning to begin construction on our new toddler playground. We have a crew coming at 8:00 am to prepare the area. They’ll be cutting sod and digging and setting post holes for the fence. They could definitely use a few more hands for this project. If you’re available come on up and if Saturday morning doesn’t work, they will be working again on Monday evening at 5:30 pm. This playground will be a great addition to KiDSCOR. It will provide us a safe area for our smallest children to play. We’re hoping to have it completed in time for VBC and the Family Picnic & Fun day on July 1st.
Next week we have several fun activities. On Tuesday night, members of our Praise and Worship team will be providing a couple hours of great music and a chance to build community at Sinclair’s restaurant (1402 NorthWest Highway 7). The music begins at 6:30 pm. Then on Thursday night our Jesus & Me: Choose Kind VBC begins. Our children’s ministry team has been working hard to prepare. Don’t forget that you can invite your friends and neighbors children to come at no cost due to a generous gift from church members. There is plenty of room for more children so extend those invitations!
On Sunday we’ll conclude our Jesus and Me series with a look at Jesus’ meeting with the Samaritan woman at the well. This is one of the most powerful stories in all of scripture and the longest recorded conversation held with Jesus in our Bible. Hmmmmm, must be important! It’s also one of my favorites, so I’m excited to have the opportunity to preach this Sunday.
Youth parents, don't forget that tonight at 6 pm is the rezlife Messy Game Night. Our new 6th grade students are invited to join the middle and high school youth for a night of messy, wet fun on the back lawn. It should be a perfect evening for it.
Invite your family and friends and join us for any of these and the other upcoming events you'll find listed below.
