Luke 10:2 says this, “The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more workers into the harvest field”. I preached on this text on Sunday morning. Jesus says that the only reason we are not harvesting is because of lack of workers. I personally believe that every believer in Christ should be a worker in the harvest! Jesus is looking for people who will just say, “here I am, send me”. Jesus is looking for people to proclaim His truth to this world that needs to hear it! Will you be one of these workers?
Years ago, I never felt like I was good enough to be a worker in the harvest. I had too many insecurities, too many doubts in myself, too many people telling me I wasn’t good enough, etc. However, one day something changed in me. I had a pastor friend ask me why was I not doing more for God? God saved me, transformed me and forgave me. Why was I not willing to serve Him and be a worker no matter what the cost? This pastor was right and through the power of God’s Spirit, I now love being a worker in the harvest. If Jesus has radically changed you, forgiven you and transformed you, please take this call serious and become one of the workers. Ask God what He wants you to do and then do it!
