Caregiving Resources
Taking Care of Caregivers
A newly released white paper from Cariloop Caregiver Support Platform, "Taking Care of Caregivers: Why Corporate America Should Support Employees Who Give Their Hearts and Souls to Those in Need,"examines the unique set of challenges caregiving poses for employees and employers alike. The paper highlights some of the programs and policies companies have created in response to these challenges. Read the paper HERE.
Supported Decision-Making Resource Library
Supported Decision-Making (SDM) is an alternative model where people with disabilities keep their rights and their decision-making capacity. Instead of having a caregiver make choices for them, people with disabilities have supporters who help them make their own choices. The ACLU has a full resource library on SDM including videos, FAQs, and sample SDM agreements. Explore the library HERE.
Daughters in the Workplace
Home Instead developed the Daughters in the Workplace public education program offering free resources to help working family caregivers feel empowered to talk to their employers about their needs, while also identifying caregiving support that may be available.
