🌈 Convocation Recap, ⛪ Upcoming BIC Workshops, and More... for Thursday, 30 August 2018 from The Reconciliation Ministry Network in Chicago, Illinois, United States
Last month, For Everyone Born drew hundreds of United Methodists to St. Louis, Missouri for community, worship, and organizing, and to live out what it means to be a church where all are welcome and celebrated. United Methodists joined for a weekend full of inspiration, connection, and a vision of what the church could be. In addition to great worship and fellowship, participants experienced two days of engaging workshops, heard from Commission on A Way Forward (CoWF) members about their experience, met with their jurisdictional teams, and began planning their presence and witness at General Conference in February 2019.
With General Conference only half a year away, RMN is working to keep you updated on the movement and where we - together - are going.
In the meantime, check back with the For Everyone Born website for instructions on keeping up to date.

Upcoming BIC Workshops in California
Do you want to help increase the number of Reconciling Churches, Communities and Campus Ministries?
RMN is hosting upcoming training sessions that will empower Reconciling United Methodists to shepherd churches and communities through the Reconciling process. The training will include skills-building around topics common in the Reconciling process including: sexual orientations and gender identities, framing, steps of the Reconciling process, graceful engagement, and conflict management.
Participants who desire to become Reconciling process coaches for their church or other congregations will be invited to confirm this at the workshop.
- September 8, 2018: Tehachapi, CA
- October 6, 2018: Sacramento, CA
- October 13, 2018: La Mesa, CA
Contact Rev. Izzy Alvaran with any questions about these three BIC workshops.
Financial Support
Click here to support RMN as we continue to model the church for the world, and as we work between now and February 2019 to pass legislation that eliminates “incompatible with Christian teaching,” removes the prohibitions and chargeable offenses, and gives LGBTQ people an equal voice in United Methodist conversations.
To strengthen our movement for the long haul, we are looking for one-time donations as well as the commitment of 500 recurring donors. Will you be one of the 500 recurring donors who will enable us to work for a more equitable and inclusive church where all God's children are welcome at the table?
