Mission Communities - Week 7 - We Are Staying Connected for Thursday, 23 August 2018 from The Mission Valley Church of the Nazarene in San Diego, California, United States
Dear Mission Community Leader:

We’re getting ready to launch! If you haven’t had a chance to review our Mission Communities Brochure, please pick one up and let us know if your group information is accurate.
As you know, during the weeks leading up to our Relaunch of our Mission Communities (Sunday, September 9) you’ve been receiving a weekly word to encourage and equip you as you prepare to lead. We’re now just a couple of weeks away and we have close to 35 groups preparing to start and restart with fresh determination. Good things are happening at Mission Church!
STAYING CONNECTED
The success of your Mission Community is not based on what you can bring to the table. The success of your group is dependent upon Jesus and how He moves and works in your group. Remember, you’re not in this alone. We’re here to help you along your journey of leading your Mission Community. We are excited and wait in expectation for what Jesus is going to do in all of our lives together.
Mission Community Support
Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. I’ve been at this Mission Community gig (Small Groups, Life Groups) for some time now and if I don’t have the answer I’ll do his best to find it! The best way to reach me, regardless of your location is via my cell phone. Please call or text (858)740-0977 me any time. You may also email me.
We’re in this together! I’m committed to provide you with the support and encouragement that aims to better equip you in leading your Mission Community in this new season.
Mission Community Leadership Support
Throughout the year, we will gather as Mission Community Leaders for encouragement and equipping. These gatherings will provide space for us to collectively look at how God is working in our groups and expand our vision to where He is leading.
Keep Us Informed
Stories are a huge part of the whole gospel message. We believe God wants to work in and through our Mission Communities so that others may be blessed. We would love to hear what God is doing in your group. There’s no story too big or too small, we want to hear from you! It could be an example of seeing God at work in the everyday routine of life or seeing Him completely bring freedom to someone in your group. Stories of God at work fuel who we are and give us a clearer picture of who God is and who He is calling us to be.
So, at your first meeting, will you please send us a group photo? Please send it to valvarado@missionnaz.org. We would love to display your Mission Community in the Foyer (on the “Seek” Info Wall) and the big screen on a Sunday morning.
Let’s Talk About Sunday, September 9
That’s when we pull the level and create momentum by inviting all of our people to sign up for a Mission Community. On September 9, our Courtyard will be set up with tables displaying 35 group options for our people to join. We are asking you to be present and stand at your table to answer any questions people may have about your Mission Community.
At your table you will find a Placard with your Group’s Name and Your Name, along with a Sign Up Form on a Clip Board. Please, if you are able, be present at your table before the 9:00am Service, in between Services, and after the 10:45 Service. At the end of the morning our church personnel will gather all the Sign Up Forms, organize all the information and send you the list of people who signed up for your group so that you may send them a “welcome” and a greeting, along with any important details they may need to know before your first meeting.
This is going to be a fun season of focus and fellowship at Mission Church! I’m so glad that you’re leading and helping us SEEK The Kingdom of God.
All for His Glory!
