SCRIPTURE: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.--PROVERBS 3:6
When you say the word reflection, I think at first of what I see in the mirror every morning…a physical being that is uniquely me. I may favor another relative but the total package is uniquely me. When I think of being a reflection of Jesus, I leave the physical and move to me as a human being. It is not about how I look. It is about how I treat myself and how I respond to other people. As I became a follower of Jesus and my body became his dwelling place, it became my challenge to reflect Jesus in all ways.
It is about:
• How I treat this body that has been given to me?
• How I respond to and support my fellow travelers? and
• How I care for those who are still searching.
Jesus gave examples of the right attitude and action in each of these situations. If I truly am striving to be a reflection of Jesus in my daily walk, I will likewise work to exhibit a Christlike attitude and action.
PRAYER: Gracious God, During this time of Lent help me to re-focus my reflection on you and re-new a right spirit and action with in me. AMEN
