San Diego Saint Mark's United Methodist Church's Ash Wednesday Service, 5 March 2014 at 7:00 pm Lent is Beginning at St. Mark's
Ash Wednesday Service, tonight at 7 p.m.
This service, with the traditional imposition of ashes, is a great way to start the spiritual journey of Lent.  Rev. Jeri Newell-Davis preaches, with music by the Chancel Choir.

St. Mark's in Prayer, Thursdays at 10 a.m. and Mondays at 5:30 p.m.
These times of communion and quiet prayer in the sanctuary provide an opportunity to reflect deeply on our lives, and on the future of the church.  Revs. Craig Dorval and Jeri Newell-Davis.  These service are 30 minutes, and offered weekly during Lent.

"Five Practices of Fruitful Living," Mondays at 1 p.m.
This powerful book by Bishop Robert Schnase provides concrete ways to think about and constructively change the "state of our souls."  Led by Craig in the New Room (near the church office) during Lent.  Books are $5 and available in the church office.  Sign up by e-mailing us.

First Sunday of Lent, the Season of Self-Inventory, 9:30 a.m.
We will share the Sacrament of Communion, with music by the Chancel Choir and the Carillon Bells.
