NMI celebrates 100 years
with worldwide participation
Nazarene Missions International announced the more than 1,400 initiatives for its 100th Anniversary Project are now accessible in several languages through a Google Translate button on each Web page.
The NMI 100th Anniversary Project gives districts the opportunity to assist with ministry needs in other districts around the world as NMI reaches its 100th anniversary in October 2015. In the fall, leaders from JESUS Film Harvest Partners, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, the Church of the Nazarene's International Board of Education, and districts, fields, and regions throughout the denomination submitted lists of initiatives they would like to see accomplished in their areas. More than 1,400 initiatives were submitted and processed by NMI and Donor Services. Each district is encouraged to meet the needs of another district through adopting one of the 1,400-plus initiatives listed and sending in funds for the sponsors to complete the project by October 2015. ...more

God Answering Prayer for Radio Ministry in Papua New Guinea!

National Communications Coordinator (Rev. Daniel Eka) sent in this recent praise from Papua New Guinea. (Above:  MNBC student Immanuel Michael first hand-on experience on keyboard, writing Krai Bilong Ol Meri radio script.)
After many years of praying to God for someone to help out with the Radio Ministry here in Papua New Guinea, God has answered! We had been praying for a person who has a heart and a passion for radio.  God in His own timing answers prayers. His ways are not our ways, says the Lord of Host. God's timing was just right when He finally answered my prayer. I have been praying since 2007 for someone, a male or a female, educated or uneducated, someone who is godly and filled with God's spirit.
God answered my prayer at the begining of this year 2014. Immanuel Michael is a carpenter by trade. He had recieved a call from God to  do his 3 years of Diploma in Ministry at Melanesia Nazarene Bible College. Prior to that he was a pastor of another sister holiness church for more than 5 years.
One day Immanuel came knocking at my door and said, "Pastor Daniel, I am coming to your office for you to pray for me."  When I asked how I could pray he said, "I have peace from my heart to work with you (radio ministry) from time to time while I am a student here at Melanesia Nazarene Bible College."
I smiled at him with confidence and said, "Immanuel, you are answer to my prayer for 7 years. I am more than happy to train you the basics in radio script writing, audio productions, and many more."

Papua New Guinea.
From Monday to Friday and even during the weekends he finds time to come and at least give two to three hours for radio. I praise God for bringing this special person to radio ministry.
Its going to be a great relief for me as I am looking forward to concentrating more on video and hopefully quarterly news letters for the National Church and other Communication Ministries as God leads.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!

The Asia-Pacific Region is celebrating with Missionaries Michael (Mike) and Diane Chapman as Michael received his certificate of ordination at the Alaska District Assembly on May 8th
Mike Preaching at aChristmas Service.
The Chapmans were assigned as missionaries on the Asia-Pacific Region in 2007, where they have been serving in a variety of roles at the Kudjip Nazarene Hospital / mission station, and now most recently at the Melanesia Nazarene Bible College.
These rolls have included overseeing building
Mike coordinating building projects in PNG
projects, working in administrative capacities at the nurses training college, teaching elementary children at the mission school, coordination of work and witness teams and filling those shoes of "all other things as assigned."  Mike has received great joy through facilitating a training program that involves a carpentry shop, where students/pastors are able to obtain vocational woodworking skills while attaining their theological education.
Mike and Diane are from the Alaska District.  Their home church
is Chapel of the Cross.
They had lived in Alaska for 21 years where God prepared them for their assignment as missionaries in Papua New Guinea.  They have two sons.  Their oldest son and wife, Joseph and Bekah live in Boise, ID with their two grandchildren Alexander and Jamilyn.  Their youngest son and wife, Jonathan and Kathy live in Germany with their other two grandchildren Jonathan Gregory and Dexter.
Congratulations Michael!  Thank you to you both for your faithful service to our Lord and the people of Papua New Guinea!

•Did someone send a gift that met a need you wouldn't have been able to meet any other way?
•Did someone encourage you with a timely note or gift in a way that you knew God had prompted them in order to answer your prayer?
•Did someone in your family receive a special treat that brought joy at a very important time.
•How did an unexpected level of support and/or partnership extend your ministry in an unexpected way?
Debbie Goodwin, a freelance writer has been asked to share stories of how it takes a  village to care for our missionaries around the world, for an article in Holiness Today.
Her goal is to raise awareness for what happens if all of us would follow God's prompts, whether it is to meet a need for a missionary half way around the world or a neighbor down the street.

Mission
To call Christians from all Nations to:
1.Unite in repentance and prayer, and
2.Work together as God's servants for the blessing and healing of the Nations.
Strategy
Following the example of the first believers who "joined together constantly" in prayer (Acts 1:14) until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Global Day of Prayer is calling Christians from all nations to unite in prayer.
