Thank you for praying for Nali, Lumae Yangmi's mother. Sam Yangmi writes, "The doctors were able to reduce the infection and she is feeling better. She may be discharged tomorrow. We want to thank you for your prayers because we have sensed the power of your prayers that have improved Nali's health faster than expected!"

GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS 
Cactus Nazarene Ministry Center
Cactus Nazarene Ministry Center (CNMC) is a new compassionate ministries site located in the diverse Texas Panhandle town of Cactus, Texas (USA). CNMC seeks to serve the 17+ nationalities/ethnicities in the area through English classes, legal assistance, health clinics, sports ministries, after-school programs, family services and more. Pray for the Lord's provision for those who run the center, and for the people that they serve. May each person see and know Jesus in a real and personal way. Kiatine Church Orphans
At the Kiatine Church of the Nazarene in Kenya, 103 orphans are cared for. The children range in age from 6 to 17 and at the church’s academy, they receive education, meals, and the Gospel. Rev. Augustus Musili says, “There is another religion in our area that plans to change the world. God said to me to prepare these children to become church leaders for Christ in this world.” Pray for the Kiatine Church as they minister and for the children, that they will one day serve God.
Ecuador Seminary
The Nazarene Seminary in Quito, Ecuador, has begun a search for a new president. The current president, Luis Almeida, is transferring with his wife, Liliana, and family to the Eurasia Region. Pray for those leading the search for a new seminary president. Pray also for the Almeidas as they transition to a new area of ministry. 
Multicultural Ministries 
Roberto Hodgson, multicultural ministries director USA/Canada Region, has issued a call for prayer for:
•Pascal Permis, Haitian ministries facilitator
•Haitian Strategic Readiness Team, pastors and churches
•The following new start churches and their pastors: 
Fort Pierce Faith Church, Michelet Pierre Louis
Hollywood Emmanuel, Anan Rejouis
Pompano Beach, Antoine Jean Francois
•Pray for wisdom at the Port St. Lucie Evangelical Church of the Nazarene where members are facing challenges with construction of their new building.
•Pray for a renewed passion to reach the lost for Christ.

Conventions
NMI is starting something new, asking for prayers for upcoming NMI conventions and the NMI leader of that convention. We hope to include dates and names for global NMI conventions throughout the year. We begin today with the following nine districts. Please pray for those who will gather to hear God’s story that is playing out through Nazarene missions and for the leaders of each meeting:

Pastors and Leaders Conference (PALCON)
Pastors and Leaders Conference (PALCON) is a gathering designed for clergy, both assigned and unassigned, serving on the front lines of ministry. Two PALCONs will be held during this month–June 17-19 at Eastern Nazarene College and June 23-25 at Southern Nazarene University. Pray for the Holy Spirit's anointing on the conference leaders and God’s blessing on all who attend. Dan Copp, director of clergy services says, “PALCON has tremendous potential to shape and mold us more clearly into the people and church God envisions."

HEALTH-RELATED REQUESTS
Tonya Kucey
Pray for missionary Tonya Kucey who has been diagnosed with pneumonia. The timing of illness is never good and Tonya says that a large Work and Witness team is arriving next week. She also says, “My prayer is that God will have me miraculously up and running by then. I am also praying that I will not get mosquito fever that has hit Haiti on top of the pneumonia. There have been deaths, mostly with those who have weakened immune systems.” Please ask God to put his healing touch on Tonya’s body. She and her husband, Darin, serve in Haiti. She adds, "Thanks for your prayers. We deeply depend on them."
BEREAVEMENT
Family of Natalie Holstead
Retired missionary Natalie Holstead passed away on May 28. A memorial service will be held on June 11 in Monrovia, California. Please pray for the Holstead family during this time of earthly loss. Natalie and her late husband, Jack, served for 34 years in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Family of L.V. (Lisle) Young
L.V. (Lisle) Young passed away on May 21, just 49 days short of his 100th birthday. A memorial service was held in Nampa, Idaho, on May 27. L.V. was the father of retired missionary Evelyn Friberg. Please pray for the Young and Friberg families as they grieve L.V.'s passing. Evelyn and her husband, Hugh, served in South Africa.
