Million Dollar Arm - A film about transformation
Ok, this new Disney movie is based on a true and inspirational sports story. How does it get better than that? Well you add Jon Hamm for one. Another is you include transformation.
So who is transformed? Is it the sports agent, J. B.  who is running out of ideas for how to keep his agency afloat? Is it the two young men, Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel who win the reality contest to find a pitcher in India? Is it America’s favorite game being extended to a billion people? Is it Brenda, the neighbor who helps J. B. overcome his myoptic view of the world based on pride, monetary success, and commitment phobia? Is it cultures that collide and are enriched in the process? Is it the young child who in watching an inspirational film that is transformed by hope?
I invite you to see the trailer of this movie; the interview with the real life R. B. and Rinku; and the full length film.
