4.  My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed thee.
5.  Bold I approach th'eternal throne, and claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Such freedom!  I remember it well, like yesterday.  The Asbury Revival (I'll tell you about it sometime if you haven't heard - back in February, 1970 - 8 days of God's Spirit/Presence among us - it was all very moving, and yet, for me, it was still somewhat external, but 3 months later, in May, "my chains fell off, my heart was free,"  God's gift of inner freedom and assurance came to me, wonderfully, powerfully.  I've never been the same since.  This is my favorite verse, tho I love all the verses in this hymn.
