Who is a Rock but our God?

When I lived in the country, I would often see deer in our yard. I always enjoyed watching them jump over fences. Deer are very graceful and steady animals.
The writer of Psalm 18 compares himself to a deer. He says that God had shown him the right path in life and kept him steady on that path. "He makes my feet as steady as those of a deer. Even on steep mountains he keeps me from falling" (verse 33).
If we truly want to obey God, we will follow His plan for our life. The way we can know God's plan is to read and study the Bible. The New Testament is filled with instructions from God. 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us, "All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live."
Do you want to be like a steady deer? Take time every day to read the Bible and to ask God to help you follow His plan for your life.[JK]
"God's way is perfect. The Lord's promise always proves to be true. He protects those who trust in him."[Psalm 18:30]
PRAYER: Dear God, thank You for Your plan for my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.
