Hello Resurrection Blue Springs!
Tonight will be a fun and inspirational time at our All Church Gathering Celebration and Chili Cook-off. We will begin with a chili dinner at 6:00 pm, followed by the announcement of our chili winners based on the decision of our judging panel. After the contest, we will hear a special message for Blue Springs from Pastor Adam via video. We'll spend a few moments celebrating and recounting a great year of mission and ministry. We'll share testimonies from a few of our congregation members about why they serve and the difference it makes in their lives. Then we'll close the evening with a time of visioning for our future. There is childcare available upon request (we’ll be serving pizza to the kids). The evening will conclude by 8 pm. Go here to register. This weekend in worship we’ll be continuing our sermon series Unafraid as we look closely at the fear of failure. We hear what the psychological field, as well as, Scripture have to say about facing these fears. We will also introduce our newest members who joined Rez Blue Springs at Pizza with the Pastor last Sunday. Invite a friend to be a part of worship at 9 am or 10:45 am.

Mini Music & By Request – Stephanie Myers will host two music events each Thursday through Feb. 23, 2017, at Benton House, 1701 NW Jefferson St., Blue Springs.
Preschool Mini Music - From 6:30-7 pm Class for toddlers, preschool children and their families, features singing, movement, instruments and storybooks. E-mail Stephanie Myers at stephaniemyers62@gmail.com to register so she can bring enough instruments.
By Request – From 7-7:30 pm, Stephanie will play the grand piano at Benton House and take requests from residents. If you would like to perform with Stephanie (either singing or with another instrument), email her at stephaniemyers62@gmail.com.
Valentine Dinner Friday, February 10, 6:30-8:30 pm Singles, married, friends... instead of ordering a heart-shaped pizza or braving the crowds to overpay for a meal, join us for our Valentine Dinner. Enjoy Mediterranean chicken, roasted potatoes, Caesar salad, bread and dessert – plus some fun after dinner! Cost is $10 per person; register at Guest Services oronline by Feb. 6.
FaithWork February 11 - Lazarus Table Serving Opportunity We have an opportunity to serve a luncheon to those in need of a hot meal as part of Lazarus Table Ministry at Grand Avenue Temple. We will serve the lunch on Saturday, February 11th. We will meet at the church at 9am and carpool/caravan to Grand Avenue Temple at 9th & Grand in KCMO. We’ll also assist in the Clothing Boutique as “personal shoppers” for people obtaining needed items. Sign up here to serve or to prepare food.
Sunday Morning Bible Study – A new Bible study entitled, “The Apostle Paul and the Law of Christ,” will begin Sunday, Feb. 12, at 9:30 am in the conference room. Explore Paul’s dramatic first missionary journey and his strong-worded letter to his converts. The class, led by Chris Condra, will last about 10 weeks. Sign up at Guest Services or online soon – seating is limited!.
Stephen Highfill's visitation will be at 10 am tomorrow, January 28th, in the sanctuary, followed by a celebration of his life at 11 am. You are encouraged to wear casual attire, in keeping with Steve’s lifelong opposition to all things formal.
