My two-year-old grandson meets his newborn brother, “Baby Evan.”
When I watch it, my heart is warmed to see this boy’s loving reaction to his brother, whom he had never met and didn’t know.
It is one of the sweetest scenes I have witnessed in my life.
Yet it makes me feel guilty. This is a toddler and a baby showing me what it’s like for one person to treat another with awe and wonder.
We grownups usually go the other way.
Maybe we should rethink that.
