Happy Labor Day! Dear Friend, September 1 is Labor Day, a national tribute to the contributions of the labor movement to American well-being and economic prosperity. Without the labor movement, we might not have the 40-hour work week, anti-discrimination laws and other workplace protections. I stand with California working families on Labor Day and will work to ensure the continued survival of the rights that Labor has fought so hard to win for the workers of California and the nation.
