15 The Holy Spirit also speaks of this by telling us that the Lord said,
16 “When the time comes,
I will make an agreement
with them.
I will write my laws
on their minds and hearts.
17 Then I will forget
about their sins
and no longer remember
their evil deeds.”
18 When sins are forgiven, there is no more need to offer sacrifices.[Footnotes:

"All Is Forgiven" by Judyann Grant
Day after day, the Old Testament priests offered blood sacrifices and burnt offerings to atone for the sins of God’s people. Then Christ came, and His one sacrifice was powerful enough to do away with all that. His holy DNA commuted our death sentence to eternal life.
Yet, still today, even knowing Christ’s powerful example of forgiveness we find it hard to do the same. A man spent seventeen years in prison falsely accused of a crime. Though confined, he never gave up trying to prove his innocence. Day after day, week after week, he waited for his life sentence to be overturned. Then, after filing another appeal, a judge ordered a DNA test on evidence from the crime scene. The results exonerated the man. Upon his release, he filed a lawsuit against the state. Instead of forgiving and moving forward, he focused backward on his past incarceration.
Don’t live in the shadow of regret, remorse, and revenge. Live in the light of His love.
Hymn for Today: "All my sins have been forgiven" Translator: Esther Bergen
1. All my sins have been forgiven;
God is merciful to me;
Faith has claimed the Savior's promise,
Grace and pardon, full and free;
O my soul, be ever praising
For the great Redeemer's love;
Joyous songs to Him be raising,
Unto God in heav'n above.
2. My account is closed forever;
Jesus Christ has paid it all;
Shed His blood my sin to cover,
Paid the price to save my soul;
There is now no condemnation,
I am fully reconciled;
What a wonderful salvation,
For a sinner so defiled!
3. How my countless sins depressed me,
Gave me sorrow, shame and tears,
How His wrath and anger crushed me,
Filled my heart with doubts and fears;
But my soul cried out in anguish,
Called for mercy and for grace,
Jesus heard my supplication,
Granted pardon and release.
4. Now my soul shall live forever;
No more can the Foe condemn;
Nothing from God's love can sever,
Peace and joy are found in Him.
Thus I journey on to heaven,
Cross death's portals joyfully;
All my sins have been forgiven,
God is merciful to me.
