New Alpha Prayer Course Coming in March! Looking for a fresh perspective on prayer and how to do it? This six-week journey through the Lord’s Prayer covers topics such as intercession, dealing with disappointment, learning to listen and spiritual warfare. Sessions begin with a meal, followed by a short talk and time to discuss what has been taught. Discover how the prayer that Jesus taught can enable us to have a richer prayer life. Finally, many in our congregation are facing challenges right now, whether they are illness, brokenness in the family, or loss of a loved one. I was introduced to a visitor this past Tuesday evening here for our new grief group, as a part of our care night on Tuesdays. They were so appreciative we were offering this and grateful to be invited by a friend to come. This is just one example of how our Congregational Care Ministers (CCM’s), led by pastor Chris, have been coming beside and serving in great ways since the first of the year. They have been praying over the prayer cards, writing notes of encouragement, launching the Tuesday care night, visiting people in the hospital, and serving as stretcher-bearers at funerals. We know that the worst thing is never the last thing, but it reminds me how important it is to be Christ’s presence for one another. May we continue to lean into the strength of Jesus and share in the hope He offers!
Looking forward to worshipping with you on Sunday,
Pastor Jason
