Prepare to serve the church as a Lay Servant Minister with the Basic Course and the necessary Advanced Courses. Both courses are offered on October 22 and 29 in Whittier and Redlands.
Basic Course provides the foundation for all Lay Servants. This will encourage you to recognize and employ personal spiritual gifts. Each candidate must secure the approval of their charge Conference and complete this course.
Advanced Course: “Living Out Our United Methodist Beliefs (Heritage)”. This will explore the special gifts of theology, witness, and organization that the United Methodist Church brings to the church universal and how these emphases are still needed in the 21st century church.
Advanced Course: “Discover Your Spiritual Gifts”. This course will help participants understand their spiritual gifts and how it will equip them to become leaders using those gifts.
